Aloe pillansii

Fabulously beautiful, rare and endangered species with massive blue-grey rosette on heavy trunk. Flowers lemon yellow emerging sideways or downways. OK outdoors only in warmest dry position.

4.Indoors OK, Outdoors OK only if protected from winter rain.

Most majestic of all Aloes perhaps. This rosette is about 2 metres diameter.
Seeds which were germinating in seedpod.

Broad glaucous leaves.
Marginal teeth can be complex, from a cream margin.
Developing flowers.
Later, partly hanging inflorescence.
