Pachypodium rutenbergianum

Close relative of P. lamerei. Taller but not as succulent. Becomes tree-like with huge white flowers in Madagascar. In NZ probably suitable for bright, high indoor situations only .

The flowers of Pachypodium rutenbergianum. Rarely seen...
...because the plant needs to be about this tall before it flowers!
In fact we took the head off the plant because we could no longer house it... I'll take some pics of the re-established crown for the next upload. It's very neat now.
Young plant, maybe 6yo.
