Soehrensia bruchii

Barrel cactus from the high Andes of Argentina. A chubby rotund variable species to a meter or so in diameter. Flowers in spring, bright red. OK outdoors in well drained sunny area; will tolerate light frost.

3.Indoors OK, Outdoors OK in warm, well-drained position in mild areas.

Flowering season is October to January.
Nearly a meter in diameter....
.... but they can flower at even this size.
